Suksapan Panit | ศึกษาภัณฑ์พาณิชย์ An enormous collection of school and office materials (and Thai books), including Thai musical instruments, educational toys, sports equipment and basic electronics for reasonable prices. Look at this list (in Thai) for the locations of the other branches. Open only in the day time. Please note that
the Ekamai branch (936 Sukhumvit Rd) and Ratchadamnoen branch are CLOSED.

Daiso | ไดโซ All things Japanese for incredibly low prices. Most goods are 60 THB, just under $2. Branches vary in size from small to huge, but all carry cosmetics, toys, kitchenware, seasonal decorations, etc. Check the store list or this map to locate one near you.

Cabbages & Condoms | แคบเบจ แอนด์ คอนดอม Part of former minister Meechai's family planning empire, this shop at Sukhumvit oi 12 has lots of souvenirs sporting the family planning theme. Think flowers made of condoms, t-shirts, cups and key chains, and some nice props to take photos with. They also have a whole range of locally produced handicraft, all reasonably priced. Skip the restaurant, the food is nothing special.

[CLOSED] The spacious China City Department Store | ไชน่า ซิตี้ sells all kinds of  cheap stuff from China. Decorations, ceramics, god statues, souvenirs, clothes, jewellery, frames, clocks and a million of other things. The shop doesn't have a sign or web site, but is located at the north-side of Chakrabongse Road at the Soi Kraisri crossing, close to Khao San Road.

Eve and Boy is the place to go for cheap cosmetics and fragrances of international, local and imported brands. The price difference can be enormous. The huge branch at Siam Square is on 2 floors and always packed with the young and hip, but there are plenty of cash registers so you won't have to wait very long.
